Paul & Susannah Howard-Snowden, Port Soderick
Where form meets function for sublime accessibility.
“HAUS provide a turnkey service. They get all the trades together: the tilers, electricians, plumbers. They do the whole thing so you don’t have to worry about that. And all of the craftspeople that HAUS uses are the very best. They think about everything.”
From concept to installation, we love it when everything just flows. In fact, we believe that a sense of ease and everything being in its right place is what every kitchen should provide day in and day out.
For Paul and Susannah Howard-Snowden, comfort and a clearly defined layout were the qualities they were after in their new bespoke space.
“The key thing for us was that Bob and Claire spent a long time helping us design the kitchen, not just in terms of layout, but in terms of how you use it,” Paul explained.
“For example, we have different areas for cooking, breakfast and baking.”
“My wife also wanted accessible pull-outs, so she wouldn’t have to retrieve larger utensils and appliances out of cupboards.”
An island with breakfast bar sits at the heart of the space, complete with an advanced Miele hob and side extractor vents. The space also contains a set of Miele fan, grill, steam and microwave ovens, plus a warming drawer and wine chiller.
After overhauling their kitchen, utility, dressing room and three bathrooms, Paul summed up the couple’s HAUS experience:
“The important thing is spending the time to consider all those aspects and details. Bob took a huge amount of time and didn’t rush us. There’s so many little quality-of-life features and absolutely no wasted space.”
