When our clients popped in for their initial design consultation, accessibility was one of the first and most important considerations for their new kitchen space.

Although their previous cabinets and drawers were spacious enough for their needs, they wanted better organisation and easier access to the various condiments, crockery, and cookware that always seemed to find their way to the back of the cupboard.

Deep drawers, pullout units, and in-drawer organisation systems from premium German manufacturer LEICHT create a sublime functionality that forms the foundation of the Richards’ new kitchen.

As for the aesthetic? The Richards wanted something contemporary — but not stark. With only a small window for natural light, it was essential to maintain a feeling of warmth and brightness. Velvet smooth, matt grey fronts combine with natural wood for a beautifully inviting feel, with adjustable LED illumination throughout. At the same time, the lighter worktops and rich custard yellow wall immediately evoke freshness and morning sunshine.
